Billionaire and renowned philanthropist, George Soros, has a reputation that continuously attracts a lot of media and public attention. He maintains a high rank when it comes to his massive political giving. In fact, in 2004, Soros spent a whopping $27 million in an attempt to bar President George W. Bush from his presidential reelection bid. The reelection of President Bush caused Soros to dial down his political giving. Records from the Federal Election Commission cited that Soros committed over $25 million to support both Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidate hopefuls. They attributed this new energy to the combination of his fear for Donald Trump and faith in Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.
